Imago Relationship Therapy Clinical Skills 2

Imago Relationship Therapy Training UK

The Imago Clinical Skills 2 training builds from Clinical Skills 1 course and is the final 5 days of the training that needs to be completed in order to become a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist.

What Trainees Have Said About The Training

I’ve been working as a therapist for more than two decades but never felt comfortable or qualified to work with couples. After these training weeks it’s my intention to work towards being an Imago couples therapist in the main. That’s how good I think it is.

Rachel Morris, Therapist

This was a great course adding to the understanding given in days 1-7 and developing confidence further.

Ali Oxborrow, Therapist

Completing the final five days of the Imago training has left me feeling confident and qualified to work with couples using the Imago dialogue and processes.

Rachel Morris, Therapist

I really enjoyed being introduced to a new piece of Imago theory during the morning, then having the opportunity to practice that and experience using it during the afternoon sessions.

John Dawson, Therapist

I really enjoyed the latest 5 days training. Nice balance of education and practise.

Catherine Fisher, Therapist

Again, as with the first week of training in July, the delivery and course content from Ian is excellent, thoroughly informative and engaging.

Sarah Moran, Therapist

Ian is a fantastic trainer who is able to create a safe learning environment in which participants support each other to take risks and learn by doing.

Ali Oxborrow, Therapist

I was totally engaged throughout the course and found all elements of the training valuable and interesting - there’s no fluff or fillers.

Rachel Morris, Therapist

Ian is accepting and approachable whilst also being a master of his craft..

Nick Davis, Therapist

Fantastic course, extremely informative and no pressure whatsoever. Fully enjoyed from start to finish

Caroline Kinealy, Counsellor

  • Working experientially within the 5 days to deepen your own understanding of Imago and the part your relationships play in the work you do with couples.
  • How do deal with sexual issues.
  • Managing affairs.
  • How attachment issues and developmental wounding create reactive interactional cycles and how to help couples out of this.
  • How to use dialogical interventions to help couples step out of defensive behaviour.
  • How to work with highly reactive couples through the use of containment and affect regulation.
  • Building empathy, romance and appreciation in your couples relationships.
